Fighter FAQs

Fighters, get the answers to most of your questions here:

Welcome coaches and fighters,

This page has nearly all the information you need if you or your fighters would like to or are going to participate in an upcoming CageZilla or Thai Championship Boxing event.  If you have other questions or have ideas on what other information you’d like to see here, please email [email protected].

    • Who can register to fight for CageZilla, TCB or any affiliated events? Anyone with formal training in combat sports, military combatives, etc may register.  Preference is given to fighters that submitted to us by coaches or owners of gyms.  You may register as in independent but must complete our form including training background/experience and our match making team will decide if they are interested in offering a match.
    • How do I register to compete? Anyone interested in fighting for or registering their fighters for CageZilla or TCB please go to fighterregistration.com or click here.
    • Do I have to pay or use a credit card to register? NO.  If you fill out our fighter registration form with required information your info will go to our match making team and they will follow up and try to match you.  You will receive a FREE fighter membership which will give you certain benefits that only fighters receive but there is no charge.  Once your membership profile is completely filled out you will be eligible for more benefits, including being added to our fighter “Roster” page.
    • Do I have to keep my fighter membership if I don’t want one? No.  The fighter membership is a FREE benefit for our fighters and we will add more perks as we grow.  However, you are not required to keep the membership but you will not receive all of the perks that fighters with memberships have access to.
    • How do I see the upcoming fight card? To see the Fight Card for the upcoming CageZilla click here or for TCB click here.
    • What are VA Rules & Regulations- Click here to see VA Rules & Regulations for Pro and Amateur MMA and Muay Thai
    • Are there other fighter rules & info– In addition to VA Rules & Regulations, we have other in-house rules for all coaches, fighters and teams. Please go to getwylde.com/fight-rules/ or click here for details on rules.
    • Here is a list of other links for our  policies:
      • Ticket sales –We encourage ALL of our fighters & gyms to try to pre-sell as many tickets as possible. We offer electronic tickets with promo codes for discounts for your fans.
      • Promo codes –We have promo codes set up year round for all gyms that have participated in a previous event with us.  If you have not participated with us in the past or aren’t sure if we have a promo code set up for you, please contact us to arrange for you to be able to sell pre-sell tickets via promo codes.  These promo codes give the purchaser $5 off each ticket purchased.  Promo codes are good on all ticket types from General Admission to VIP Seats.  Please contact us if you have further questions.
      • Hard copy tickets –We no longer use hard copy (paper) tickets.  For many various reasons we have followed the lead of most other events and major sports in making this decision.  If you find it is easier for you to pre-sell hard copy tickets you can pre-purchase tickets (minus discounts).  If you choose this option you can email, send via FB messenger or another method agreed upon by us and you once payment has been made.  These tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for tickets to a future event.  Please contact us if you have further questions.
      • Weigh-Ins –Weigh-ins are held the night before our events at The Salisbury Center, 8890 Mathis Ave, Manassas, VA 20110 from 7-9 PM.  All fighters are expected to be there at 7 PM unless other arrangements have been made as we may stream our weigh-ins live and/or take professional fighter pics.  If you cannot make it to weigh-ins by 7 please notify us as soon as possible.  Fighters will weigh-in in the order we determine.  All pro or amateur fighters except pro title fighters are allowed one pound above their agreed upon weight to be considered to have made weight.  They have until 9 PM to make their agreed upon weight and may weigh-in more than once.  If a fighter does not make weight by 9 PM they may either try to make weight the next day at fighter registrations at 3:30 PM, may keep the fight if their opponent, coaches and we agree to allow the fight to happen at the weights that each fighter weighed-in at or another arrangement, or the fight may be cancelled.  Fighters may not have more than a 15.0 lb discrepancy in their weights unless it is a Heavyweight or Super Heavyweight bout.  Fighters will receive ONE FREE General Admission ticket for making weight at their originally scheduled weight (including 1 pound allowance).  Fighters and coaches will be notified if any of this changes.

      • Registrations –Fighters must register at fighterregistration.com to be considered for an upcoming event.  If a suitable opponent is found for the fighter they will be required to finalize all required paperwork and weigh-in the evening before the event unless otherwise agreed upon by the promoter and sanctioning body.  Official fighter registrations with the sanctioning body are held on the day of the event at 3:30 PM at The Salisbury Center, 8890 Mathis Ave, Manassas, VA 20110 unless otherwise specified.  Brief physicals are conducted by the ring side/cage side doctor at that time but these are in addition to the physicals required within 180 days of the event by VA, not in place of.  The fighter meeting is usually conducted at approximately 5:30 PM that day and fights begin at 7 PM unless otherwise specified.
      • Fighter pics –All fighters need to submit a fight pose pic for the fight card and face off posters upon registration or as soon as possible after their registration.  Fighter pics can be sent to [email protected].  Pics can be as simple as a fight pose taken after practice on a smart phone.  We just ask that you try to make them as hi-res as possible, the background should be one solid color that contrasts with your clothing, hair color and skin tone.  Fighters that submit their picture, blood work AND physical one or more weeks prior to the event date will receive ONE FREE general admission ticket.
      • Walkout songs –Due to time constraints, adult language or other reasons, all fighters may not get walkout/intro songs.  We will make every effort to have intro songs for all fighters.  Fighters should send their fighter intro song requests (mp3 if you have it or title and artist at least) to [email protected] or you can upload via the button below.  Intros will be no longer than 30 seconds.
      • Blood testing –All blood test results and physicals should be submitted to [email protected] or at via the upload page on this site at least ONE WEEK prior to their fight unless other arrangements have been made.  These are confidential medical records and will not be shared with anyone other than sanctioning officials, our staff that handles blood testing and/or anyone that you direct us to share them with.  Blood tests are valid for 180 days.  Fighters must be tested for HIV, Hep-B (must be surface antigen test and not antibody test) and Hep-C within 180 days of their fight.  No exceptions.  You can get blood work done in many ways but requestatest.com or advancedsportslabs.com can often get testing done on the day you call/register online or the next day at a facility near you and results the following day or day after.  Ask them for the “combatives trio” and they’ll know that it’s for HIV, Hep-B and Hep-C.  Getting results can take over a week if you get it done at your doctor and especially if you go to Urgent Care, Patient First or similar facilities.  They may also require a doctor’s referral before taking blood.  So you may be billed for two appointments and it sometimes costs more than just going to requestatest.com or advancedsportslabs.com.  We have no affiliation with requestatest.com or advancedsportslabs.com and do not receive money from them.  They are very reliable and proficient though.  Fighters that submit blood work, physicals and fighter pictures at least one week prior to the event date will receive ONE FREE general admission ticket.
      • Physicals/Medical Clearance – All fighters must either have a physical or a medical clearance from a physician stating that there are “no know physical impediments” to you fighting.  The physical or medical clearance must be done within 180 days of your fight.  Fighters who submit physical or medical clearance, blood work AND fighter picture one week or more before their fight will receive ONE FREE General Admission ticket. Forms can be submitted to [email protected] or via the upload page on this site.

      • Cornermen –All fighters must have at least ONE corner.  If your corner cannot make it the day of the fight we can usually arrange for another coach to corner you but it is not guaranteed.  Non-title fights may have up to TWO corners total.  Amateur Title fights and pro fights may have up to THREE corners total. Pro Titles may have up to FOUR corners total.
      • Cornermen registration cut-off –Corners MUST be at fighter registrations at 3:30 PM on the day of the fight.  If they can’t make it by then they MUST register no later than 5 PM on fight day unless other arrangements are agreed upon in advance by Cagezilla or TCB and the Sanctioning Body.  ANY corners arriving after 5 PM will have to pay for a General Admission ticket at the door and MAY be allowed to register with the Sanctioning Body as a corner after 5 PM at their discretion.
      • Medical Insurance –All fighters must have THEIR OWN medical insurance in order to compete in a CageZilla or TCB event.  You must sign a waiver acknowledging that you have medical insurance and who your carrier is.  We will not check for insurance cards or other private information but you must attest to it by your signature.  We do carry medical insurance within the limits required by VA but it has a very high deductible and is for catastrophic injuries.  If our insurance is needed the fighter is responsible for getting any and all paperwork required submitted in the time required by our insurance and for payment of any deductibles and/or payments not covered by our insurance.
      • Seating after fight –Fighters and coaches that are participating in an event may sit in the General Admission area only, provided that there are seats available.  Fighters and coaches that have not purchased a ticket must give up their seat to customers that have General Admission seats.  Fighters and coaches may not sit in rows 1-4, the VetTix seating area or in the VIP area unless they have purchased those tickets or management or ownership seats you there.
      • Fighter Entourages –Although we encourage fighters to bring as much support as they can, fighter entourages may not follow the fighter into the back waiting/staging area, fighter warm-up areas and may not follow them into the VIP area.  NO ONE without a proper wristband will be allowed past the ticketing area/main entrance.
